The majority of its investments consist of securities issued or guaranteed by the US government and other high quality mortgage securities, including those highly rated by S&P or Moody's. The remaining assets include securities rated below investment grade, leveraged mortgage derivative securities, and shares of other REITs or mortgage related firms. The company's investments are managed by Pacific Income Advisors, a California-based investment advisory firm.
